Dublin Temple Opening Date Confirmed: Sunday 5th April 2009

We've got a date! On Sunday 5th April 2009 at 3pm, on the auspicious occasion of Ekadasi and the weekend of Lord Ramachandra's Appearance Day we will be celebrating the official opening of the brand new Dublin temple.

For those of you who are not familiar with the project it has been under construction for the past 3 years and has a total cost of €108,000.00 - and that's just the cost of materials. Thanks to the generous support of our many friends most of the labour was volunteered.

With thanks to everyone's support we have fundraised the majority of this money however we still need €9,000 in order to finish the required work for the April opening. Therefore we are seeking as many fundraising ideas and contributions as possible.

Please get directly in touch with us if you have any ideas and you can place a donation by simply clicking on the donate link below. Whether you donation is small or large it will be greatly appreciated and you will of course be credited with helping to build and open a temple. This is a very special opportunity for spiritual advancement that happens very rarely.

We invite you to join us for the special opening festival of the brand new Hare Krishna Temple and Community Centre in at 83 Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1. We will be celebrating the opening with music, dance, a delicious vegetarian feast and of course the unveiling of the brand new altar and your first chance to see Their Lordships Sri Sri Panca Tattva. We look forward to seeing you then!

Temple Rubble Cleared Out

Thanks to all the devotees who helped clear out the temple building rubble recently! It was a fun and productive day.

The only reason we've been able to acheive so much over the past few years is because of everyone's powerful commitment.

Progress going VERY well

We're getting there! There has been a huge amount of work taking place at the temple over the past few weeks - just drop by on Sundays and you can see for yourself.

The bathrooms are in, the new glass doors are complete meaning there is now natural light in the hallways.

90% of the plastering is also completed meaning the building looks a lot more complete.

Right now we're getting ready to paint and have measured up for the altar curtains meaning we're only weeks away from being finished.

We'll have an open date set soon so keep posted!
